Downey & Lenkov Welcomes Matthew Hobson

Please join us in welcoming our new attorney Matthew Hobson.

Mat concentrates his practice in workers’ compensation and general liability. Prior to joining Downey & Lenkov, he handled plaintiff’s employment and workers’ compensation litigation, which uniquely positions him to provide strategic and effective counsel to clients. He also practiced in commercial and insurance defense litigation, appeals, and corporate tax matters.

Mat began his legal career as a law clerk in various prestigious institutions within the Indiana legal system, including the Indiana Supreme Court, Indiana Court of Appeals, and Hamilton County Circuit Court. During law school, he was an ICLEO (Indiana Conference for Legal Education Opportunity) and Drew Young Fellow. He also was a national finalist in the Parliamentary Debate while an undergraduate.

During his free time, Mat enjoys music, sports, films/filmmaking, and spending time in nature with his fiancée.
