On 1/30/18 Storrs Downey will present “Avoiding Claims of Religious, National Origin and Race Discrimination in the Current Political Climate,” at the American Conference Institute’s 26th National Conference on Employment Practices Liability Insurance. The presentation will examine:

• The latest discrimination claims being brought on the basis of race, religion or national origin
• What accommodations are employers expected to make when an employee’s religion affects or interferes with their employment?
• Establishing that a religious accommodation would cause undue hardship to the employer/business
• Identifying the steps that employers should take to avoid liability for discrimination claims of race, religion or national origin discrimination
