Chicago income member Margery Newman will present at Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education’s Construction Law seminar on November 3. Margery will present “Negotiating Subcontracts” and “Dealing with Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE, MBE, and WBE).”
In “Negotiating Subcontracts,” Margery will highlight dangerous contract clauses that can acutely affect subcontractors’ time and costs. Select topics include price escalation, risk allocation indemnification, mutual obligations, COVID-19 challenges and much more.
“Dealing with Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE, MBE, and WBE)” will cover all facets of the DBE program, including eligibility requirements, the application process, issues of abuse in the programs and more.
The full-day seminar addresses several key construction law issues, recent case law updates and legislative updates.
